Job descriptionFreightserve recruitment are looking for an Air Product Manager for a fast growing Heathrow based Freight Forwarder. The company do have a number of Worldwide offices.Purpose of the roleWe are looking for a motivated and experienced Air Freight Product Manager to join our dynamic Air Freight Team. Their aim is to help drive the Air Freight team forward and assist with day-to-day management of the Air freight department while maintaininghigh level of customer service. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to make a real difference in a growing team, support our international success and develop their career.Responsibilities:- Overall branch management and income statement control Making sure that service levels remain at its highest level Training staff and implementing procedures and reviews The formulation and implementation of an SOP Active management of the COD customer base Ensuring that all relevant procedures, process, and documentation are in place to meet ETSF Compliance requirements Managing the driver schedule to ensure the delivery of cargo in the most efficient and cost-effective manner Measuring and reviewing the performance of transporters; ensuring that service levels are high, and costs are competitive Keeping a service failure log; document root cause analysis and preventive action introduced to prevent a reoccurrence. Profit and Loss reports to submitted on time Maintain the weekly Dashboard as per agreed Department measures Training staff and reviewing files to ensure that all relevant Accruals are accurately captured Management of staff as per company policies to maintain high levels of moraleRequirements:- A minimum of 10 years of experience working in air freight department A minimum if 3-5 years of experience in managerial role managing at least 5-10 people Providing relevant information to enable effective decision making Able to react quickly whilst maintaining focus and attention to detail Willing to support wider team as needed Ability to identify, develop, and implement improved ways of working Strong planning, organisation, and prioritising skills Excellent stakeholder management skills Experience with Microsoft Office Cargo Wise would be an advantage Experience in Perishables is an advantageBenefits:- Internationally diverse, sociable, dynamic team with a clear vision and strategy 21 days holiday a year plus bank holidays Fast paced environment with lots of room for creative freedomAs an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK.
