Job Description

Berry Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Personal Assistant to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative services to the Strategic Lead.This is a 4 month fixed term contract, 9AM- 5PM.This role is mainly office based, with a requirement to be in the office at least 3 days a week, flexibility will be needed in response to business needs.Core Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and issue agendas for managers team meetings, and any other meetings as required, and to take minutes of these meetings and take notes at Disciplinary or Grievance meetings, as required.
  2. Assist and support the Housing Leadership team as and when required with administrative duties, including collation of data and government returns when required.
  3. Designated as Recruitment Co-ordinator responsible for the Housing Services personnel activities associated with "starters" and "leavers", ensuring correct procedures are followed. Ensuring that job descriptions are updated as and when required.
  4. Designated as the holder of the Housing Services purchase card responsible for arranging travel, accommodation, stationery etc.
  5. Organise meetings as required, including booking rooms and preparing and issuing agendas for meetings as required
  6. Deal with enquiries from Councillors, staff and the general public ensuring issues are escalated quickly and appropriately.
  7. Provide secretarial & administrative support to the posts outlined above. This will include maintaining diaries, coordinating team meetings, 1-2-1s and annual performance appraisals.
  8. Assist in managing the correspondence of the Officers outlined above by writing routine letters and emails and ensuring timely replies.
