Job Description

Technical Sales Manager needed in the engineering sector.I’m currently working with an extremely reputable company who have a prestigious 50+ year history delivering exciting high-value engineering solutions.This company have a loyal base of long-standing customers, and an extremely low staff turnover.We’re looking for a Technical Sales Manager who can manage enquiries/projects from a mature customer base, whilst hunting for new opportunities in target sectors including aerospace, oil & gas, defence, motorsport, marine, structural steel, petrochemicaland nuclear. If you’re a technical sales professional who’s had exposure to these industries, we’d love to hear from you.Salary: £50k to £60k base salary (negotiable depending on experience) + £5k car allowance + annual bonus (15% to 20% of salary).Location: Derby (hybrid).Duration: PermanentBenefits:

Job responsibilities:
  • Prospecting for new project opportunities.
  • Identifying key decision makers and building strategic long-term relationships.
  • Manging incoming enquiries from an existing customer base.
  • Ensuring proposals are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Discussing solutions with clients in person and working closely alongside the technical team to ensure their needs are met.
  • Travel across the Midlands and South as needed to meet with customers.
  • Working closely alongside colleagues to absorb knowledge.
  • Management of the company’s sales records in a CRM system.
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify industry trends and potential growth areas.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments, attending trade shows, and networking events.
