Job Description

Project ManagerHeanor (Derbyshire)Permanent positionJoin a world-leading company with over a century of industry experience!We’re seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a track record in managing commercial construction projects and with solid CDM experience.What’s on offer

This is ahybrid role, offering a blend of office, site, and home working.Please note that even with this being a hybrid position, you will still need to ALREADY be within a reasonable and sustainable commute of Heanor in Derbyshire WITHOUT RELOCATING – no exceptions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Business Development to support project activities on tenders and quotes
  • Manage the project lifecycle from initial handover to closeout
  • Ensure detailed communications to support the project
  • Oversee all aspects of project performance
  • Understand and set out the project deliverables for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain financial control and robust margin control
  • Ensure timely submission of milestones/invoices with appropriate documentation
  • Execute projects to the best advantage of the business
  • Manage project risk via risk registers
  • Carry out lessons learned for continuous improvement
  • Generate accurate project plans
Qualifications:
  • HNC qualified or equivalent (Essential)
  • HND or higher qualified (Desirable)
  • Formal Project Management qualification (e.g., Prince II or APMP) or familiarity with the defined processes
  • Formal CDM certification or qualifications, along with extensive use (Essential)
Experience:
  • Proven experience of delivering M&E design, manufacture, and install projects within Energy, Nuclear, Petrochemical, Aerospace, or similar industries (Essential)
  • Gas Turbine knowledge would be desirable
  • Fabrication/manufacturing project management would also be desirable
Skills:
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Technical and numerical competence
  • Commercial Knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet customer deadlines
  • Management and people skills
  • Understanding of Primavera P3e, Microsoft Project or Asta Powerproject planning software (Desirable)
