Job Description

Senior Quantity SurveyorHeanor & Some Hybrid WorkingAttractive Salary + Great benefits packageThe CompanyWorld leading engineering company - Energy, Marine, Aerospace and Nuclear SectorsThe Role

  • Senior QS covering commercial and cost ownership on multi–trade design and build packages from £25k to £10m
  • Effectively manage day to day commercial risk, on a project-by-project basis.
  • Monitoring and executing the conditions of contracts. This includes framework NEC and JCT agreements.
  • Ensuring all variations are measured effectively, priced, submitted and agreed with customers
  • Valuations and final accounts prepared and submitted in accordance with the contracts for approval
  • Maintaining solid business relationships with procurement, estimators, finance, and all other stakeholders within the business
This is only part of a much larger job specification, so if you meet the above and below criteria, please apply and I’ll be in touch with those that most suit the needs of the role.The PersonYou’ll obviously need certain things in your locker to be considered, which includes:
  • A recognised degree or relevant qualifications linked to your Quantity Surveying craft. Although relevant experience is always better.
  • Sound exposure to NEC and JCT frameworks
  • Real-world experience within the engineering of projects containing structural steelwork/ sheet metal / large enclosures / welded fabrications etc. This is not an FMCG or small ‘product’ manufacturer.
  • Rock solid financial acumen and the ability to manage the financials within complex projects
  • Proven ability to convey technical information to a wide audience, face to face and by via the written word
  • Good time management and ability to achieve project milestones
  • A full UK driving licence

IMPORTANT PLEASE READAs this is a permanent, full-time role, we require candidates to be within a reasonable commute of Heanor and who won’t have to relocate. Those that don’t meet these criteria will not be progressed.It is also not suitable for recent graduates, without practical real-world experience.
