Job Description

Production Planner Monday to Friday £21,000I’ve partnered with a fantastic manufacture based in Derby who have a strong heritage of over 100 years.As production planner you will support and assist in the planning of production, monitor stock levels daily and ensure all packing materials are available in the required quantities.Applicants MUST having minimum 12 months within a production planning position Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Toensure that the daily production plan is being adhered to through completion of checks within production, make amendments / adjustments as required and communicate with the relevant parties.
  • Review site capacity plan in line with the production plan and identify any over/under achievement.
  • Liaise with engineering to allow PPM work to take place with minimal disruption to customers.
  • Ensure, through planning and stock checks, that packaging / labelling supplies are readily available within the production departments.
  • Liaise with the Materials Planner to ensure pellet stock levels are maintained as required.
  • To carry out supplier audits in conjunction with the Planning Manager.
  • To carry out internal audits in line with the sites annual plan.
  • Identify cost / efficiency improvements within the department.
  • As part of the team participate in the stock check of raw materials on a monthly basis or as is deemed necessary.
  • The candidate;
  • Minimum 12 months experience within a production planning role
  • Self-motivated, an excellent team player and able to communicate effectively.
  • IT skills, including Excel, Word & Power Point
  • Strong problem solving & numeracy skills
