Job Description

CK Group are recruiting for a Product Development Technician to join a resin and composites company at their site based in Nottingham, Derbyshire.Location:The site is accessible from Derby, Heanor, Ilkeston, Nottingham, Leicester, Chesterfield, Sheffield and LeedsYour duties and responsibilities will involve to:

  • Plan and organise the manufacture of composite test panels and complex geometries
  • Perform trials and experiments focussed at assessing a materials process ability
  • Characterise composite materials
  • Collect and document information and process data to perform basic data analysis
  • Work as part of a global department and in cross-functional teams
  • Contribute to the continued development of HSE standard and procedures
Your Background:The successful candidate will have:
  • Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant engineering or scientific field (Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering)
  • Practical experience in the processing and manufacture of composite materials
  • A basic understanding of material characteristics and properties
  • Some familiarity with material characterisation in the form of microscopy
