Plater WelderOvertime: 1.5x Friday / 1.5x Saturday (10/12 hours per week available)Shifts: Days (4 days - Monday to Thursday)Hours per week: 39 hours per week.Duration: Minimum 6 monthsStart date: ImmediateClient Summary:Established in 1959, our clients is well-established within the Fabrication and Manufacturing arena. Originally beginning in the Aerospace sector - they have since developed and diversified into various other industries, including Marine, Energy and Automotive.Offering a range of advanced engineering solutions.Position Summary:Plater welder - predominately carrying out plating duties with some welding also required (MIG). Varied work across a range of industries, including complex, large scale one-off fabrications. Occasional site work is expected to support the full time FittingTeams.70 / 30 between Plating / Welding dutiesRoles can include:*Plating, welding and mechanical work under the direct instruction of the Technical Services Manager and Team Leads*Working from Engineering drawings / WPS*Travel to site and carry out plating, welding, assembly & fabrication work*Some foreign travel including "Off-Shore" is likely to be required*Assisting in planning, to identify and, where possible, offer solutions to on complex work pieces*Wherever possible assist all members of the Company including engineering in the continual development of the Product.*Work with Mild Steel / Carbon Steel / Stainless Steel productsPerson Profile/Experience:*Flexibility to travel for work UK Wide and Abroad (subsistence and accommodation paid)*Passport*Able to work with Thicknesses of gauge - 3mm to 20mm, Mild Steel, Stainless.*Competent in welding MIG, TIG & MMA*Two years experience in a plating or welding role*Evidence of previous welding training or qualificationsQualifications Considered:*Appropriate NVQ / City and Guilds Qualification*Time served Apprentice*Former Codings looked on favourably.PLEASE NOTE: A WELD TEST WILL BE REQUIRED - MIG ON CARBON STEEL - FILLET AND BUTT - VISUALLY INSPECTEDContact Information: James BellEmail: Telephone Number:
