Job Description

Management Accountant12-month Fixed Term ContractHeanor, Derbyshire£40,000 + Benefits Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a Management Accountant to support one of their divisions with accounts and financial control. The job is a fixed term contract for 12 months.Duties include:

  • Support the Financial Controller in ensuring that proper and adequate financial and business processes are in place to provide strong financial control of the business
  • Preparation of monthly accounts
  • Accruals/Prepayment preparation and journal posting
  • Investigating and explaining overhead spend variances to budget, outlining any actions
  • Preparation of weekly EBITDA forecast
  • Preparation of weekly labour reporting for the business
  • Generating monthly margin reports including investigation of variances to target
  • Generating weekly cash flow forecast and explanation of variances to previous forecasts
  • Sales order intake reporting
  • VAT analysis
  • Support the Annual budget preparation for the business
  • Support the Annual External Audit to ensure that the business has no errors and complies with current accounting standards
  • Other ad hoc tasks and support for the business
