Job Description

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a global group of companies who specialise in the manufacture of drainage and piping solutions above and below ground. You will be based at their lower tier COMAH site in Hazlehead which produces claydrainage pipes, with a loyal and friendly team culture!This is a permanent full time role working Monday to Friday rotating shifts 6am – 2pm and 9am – 5pm. The salary for this Warehouse Operative role is £25,459 per annum (£12.23 per hour) plus excellent benefits as below!As Warehouse Operative you will be reporting into the Warehouse Team Leader working in the distribution department with 500 units leaving the site daily. Working as part of a warehouse team of 15 in total, your role will involve the following:

• Picking, packing, preparing and loading customer orders in a safe, accurate and efficient manner
• Picking using a manual pick sheet working to pick targets
• Packing, shrink wrapping and palletising
• Manually lifting a maximum of 20kg
• Operating manual handling equipment to lift products over 20kg

We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience working as a Warehouse Operative
• Counterbalance FLT License with 6 months of experience is desirable but not essential
• GCSE in Maths and English or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail is required
• Working within a team and as an individual with a “can-do” attitude
• Physically fit with the ability to manually lift up to 20kg
• Own transport ideally due to the location
