We are recruiting for an Engineering Team Leader with an electrical bias to join a global group of companies who specialise in the manufacture of drainage and piping solutions above and below ground. You will be based at their lower tier COMAH site inHazlehead which produces clay drainage pipes, with a loyal and friendly team culture!This is a permanent full time role working 4 on, 4 off, days and nights 6-6, offering a salary of £45-49,000 per annum including shift allowance plus excellent benefits as below!As Engineering Team Leader you will be reporting into the Engineering Lead, working as part of an engineering team of 24 in total, with responsibility for 3 Multi Skilled Engineers on shift. Your role will involve the following:

• Lead the shift on day to day maintenance activity maintaining machine availability
• Co-ordinate the workload and maintain planned work including PPM and improvement work
• Liaise with Engineering and Projects Lead regarding Continuous Improvement and long-term projects
• Maintain maintenance monitoring
• Provide hands on support for shift teams
• Provide consistency between shifts
• Coach and Mentor Maintenance Engineers to develop succession planning
• Identify training requirements of maintenance team
• Mentor Apprentices within the maintenance department

The machinery you will be maintaining (in the main) will be large Roller Driers and Roller Kilns with varying temperatures and many parts to the continual process which must be kept running at all times so as not to produce stoppages or indeed loss of stock. We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

• Time served Electrical bias Multi-Skilled Engineer
• Strong technical knowledge in heavy manufacturing would be advantageous although experience from other manufacturing backgrounds will be considered
• Good people management skills with previous experience in leading and developing an engineering team
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics and PLCs is beneficial but not essential
• Knowledge of modern Maintenance techniques
• Experience with Agility Maintenance Planning would be advantageous
• Exposure to the S, Q, C, P, D (or equivalent) model of communication
• Due to the location you will have your own transport to get to site
