Volunteer CoordinatorHave you got what it takes to support prisoners and their familiesPact is a highly respected independent charity, which together with its subsidiary, Pact Futures, works across England and Wales to develop and deliver a range of innovative services, providing practical and emotional support to prisoners’ children and families, to prisoners, and to ex-prisoners.Volunteer Coordinator Responsibilities:To be a big part of Pact’s 5 year vision to mobilise 1000 volunteers, enabling Pact to provide more support to prisoners and their families. Therefore you will act as the strategic lead for recruitment of volunteers and student placements to support Pact’s services across the Thames Valley region, including prison and community based services to help Pact build stronger families. To be the key contact for promoting volunteer opportunities, and supporting applicants through the recruitment process (including interviewing, training and conducting background checks).Volunteer Coordinator Requirements:- Recruitment and supervision of volunteers / Interviewing techniques, and administration of a recruitment process- Database management- Working in a third sector organisation, preferably in the criminal justice field- Ability to develop relationships with volunteers, clients and other stakeholders- Results orientated with a ‘can do’ attitude.About PACT:Pact is an ambitious and growing independent national charity which provides a fresh start for people affected by imprisonment.
