Job Description

Teaching AssistantTeaching Assistant - Hastings - ASAPAs a Teaching Assistant you play a crucial role in supporting both teachers and students in their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating with teachers to implement lesson plans and activities.
Providing individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.
Assisting in classroom management, including behaviour and discipline.
Supporting students in completing assignments and understanding lesson concepts.
Contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Your typical day as a Teaching Assistant will involve:

Morning preparation, including reviewing lesson plans and setting up classrooms.
Classroom support, assisting teachers and working with students during lessons.
Providing individualized assistance to students, particularly those with special educational needs.
Collaborating with teachers to assess and grade assignments.
Participating in meetings, professional development sessions, and maintaining effective communication with the school community.

Qualifications required to become a Teaching Assistant:

A genuine passion for working with students and helping them succeed.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

You will require to pass a DBS check with no reprimands (we can assist you with this)
You will have GCSE grades of A*-C in Maths and English ( or equivalent )
