Job Description

Position: Factory Administrator Role: Full time - 37.5 hrs a week (start and finish time to be agreed) Location: HastingsSalary: Circa £17,500 - 19,000 Ref: T2DH2 / 1376605Company A well established and trusted Manufacturer who have been supplying Products to the Construction Industry for over 50 years are on the market looking for a Factory Administrator to support their production team in Hastings.They are renowned for having great people, investing in the development of their team to ensure they keep a motivated work force.The Factory Administrator will provide administrative support to the Factory Management Team assisting with a wide variety of tasks, ensuring that ISO procedures are always complied with. The RoleDuties and Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:-

  • Placing orders for raw materials, including checking stock levels
  • Checking and processing goods inwards notes
  • Liaise with transport providers to organise shipments both inwards and outwards
  • Preparing shipping documentation for good outwards, ensuring that all relevant details are included on labels and paperwork
  • Liaise with the Estimating and Sales Support Teams to ensure delivery details can be communicated accurately to customers
  • Liaise with the Finance Department with regards to supplier invoice queries
  • Process stock adjustments, both month end and ad hoc cycle counts
  • Assist with the preparation of production schedules and allocation of tasks within the production team
  • Complete daily records of productivity against plans
  • Assist with regular reporting of production levels.
  • Assist with maintaining ISO and Quality Control manuals including carrying out internal audits
  • Program the CNC system with cutting details
  • Ensuring that all work areas are always kept clean and tidy .
  • Complying with all Health & Safety rules at all times.
  • Carry out any other reasonable task as directed by Management.
  • The CandidateThe ideal candidate would have the following Qualifications/skills:-
  • Basic understanding of Health & Safety rules
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong organisational ability and willingness to ensure deadlines are met
  • Minimum of a grade 4 GCSE in Maths and English
  • A willingness to learn new skills
  • Self-motivated with good communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and processes
  • Confident IT user, some experience of MS Excel and Word
  • A desire to contribute towards delivering a high level of customer service at all times, in all areas
