Posts: 1 x 25 hpw & 2 x 20 hpw.Applications are invited for part-time Phlebotomists to join our team.You will provide a comprehensive service which includes obtaining blood samples from hospital inpatients and community/hospital-based clinics. This is a busy and varied Post where you will form an integral part of a highly-skilled team.Youshould have a good standard of education and literacy, including basic computer literacy.Previous experience of venepuncture is not essential as full training will be given.A rota system is operated for duties covering ward areas, main Phlebotomy suite and also identified clinics within the community in the South Tyneside area.Our Phlebotomy team cover a seven-day, 365-day service with various shift patterns and therefore you will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the Service.This Post is based within South Tyneside District Hospital and Community Clinics within the South Tyneside area. Therefore you must be able to meet the travel requirements of the Post.
