Job Description

Are you looking for a permanent role Do you want to work for an organisation that has a massive impact on the lives of everyday people If you are answering yes to the above, then this could be the role for you.We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor with a Mechanical Bias to work for one of our NHS clients in the north east.Working 8am to 4pm Monday to FridayManage the day to day running of the approved mechanical works requisition system and labour management scheme, ensuring that clear instructions are given to all delegated staff to allow the works to be concluded efficiently,Plan, develop, co-ordinate and manage the implementation of the approved mechanical maintenance programme, carried out by direct labour staff, external contractors and specialist contractors,Issue of Permits to Work incl. but not limited to Hot Works permits, working at heights, confined spaces,Procure best value materials and services in discharging the day to day function.Assist in the preparation of all record drawings relating to all mechanical elements at sites maintained by Facilities Services,Prepare proposals and estimates for maintenance repairs, minor works, alterations and improvements to Wards/Departments from a mechanical building services perspective.Undertakes the preparation of mechanical related condition surveys and reportsPrepares drawings, specifications and contracts as required,Acquire and disseminate technical information on all matters relating to the delivery of maintenance services,Participate in emergency on-call duties (currently Engineer’s rota, to be agreed).Oversee and Manage department’s pay & non-pay expenditure budget i.e.materials and associated Backlog budgets.Please note that Taskmaster is operating as a Recruitment Business for this role.Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
