Job Description

Lead CloudOps EngineerGreater London A Senior DevOps Engineer is required by an international Insurance Company to manage their Cloud environment. The company has undergone substantial technology and organisational change over the lastfew years and this is the next piece of the puzzle. There is a substantial body of work planned and it is essential that the Cloud environment is optimised to facilitate the building and migration of applications and that the environment is available, stableand resilient. The Lead CloudOps Engineer will lead a small team and oversee all operational activity for the service, including internal and third-party provision. Your vision and purpose will be to deliver best-in-class service operations and you will needfabulous technical knowledge and experience in addition to excellent personal and social skills in order to do so. To be successful in this role you will probably have worked as a Lead Cloud Engineer or Cloud Operations Manager and be familiar with IT infrastructureoperations as well as Cloud Operations. Required

  • AWS experience ideally but Azure or GCS as an alternative
  • Hands-on experience in 24x7x365 cloud operations
  • DevSecOps model and automation tools
  • Experience of managing hybrid environments of on-premise and public cloud
  • Experience of large and complex cloud migration programmes
  • CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Experience in Audit, Regulatory, Risk & Compliance within a highly regulated industry. Financial services background is preferred.
You will need to be a natural leader with demonstrable experience of managing and coaching others, possess strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective relationships, and be comfortable acting independently and decisively.
