Job Description

Job Title: Healthcare Assistant Location: Stanford Court, 106 Moseley Road, Highgate, Birmingham, B12 0HG Salary: £8.72 - £9.35 per hour plus enhancements (with incremental increases oncompletion of probation and annually thereafter)Hours: 37.5 hours per week (rotating pattern of long days/nights/weekends shifts)Job Type: PermanentWorking Pattern:Full Time/Part Time Options for Care provides mental health recovery services in Birmingham and the West Midlands. The organisation delivers these services through two inpatient hospital units and one community recovery home. The organisational goal is to support service users to realise their potential with improvement and developments in quality of life, leading to a gradual progression through the recovery pathway to eventual discharge.Options for Care are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants, for our new hospital unit, Stanford Court. This is due to open in April 2021. As a result of internal transfers, we may also be recruiting for additional Healthcare Assistants, across our two existing hospital units, Montague Court and Dartmouth House.

  • Stanford Court will be a 20 bed male mental health inpatient unit based in Highgate, Birmingham. The structure of the purpose-built building enables us to offer levels of support dependent on the needs of the individual. Five of these beds form a separate Extra Care Suite and five are self-contained recovery flats.
  • Montague Court is an 18 bed male long term complex care mental health inpatient unit based in Edgbaston, Birmingham
  • Dartmouth House is a 16 bed male long term complex care mental health inpatient unit based in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham.
  • We are looking to build a new team of Healthcare Assistants for Stanford Court. Dynamic and enthusiastic individuals with a genuine passion for working with people who have severe and enduring mental health diagnoses and able to support our mission, vision and values.In addition to an annual cost of living pay increase, Options for Care benefits from an incremental pay pathway linked to the appraisal process. Individuals continue to work towards their personal goals whilst we maintain least restrictive principles.You will support the clinical team by supporting delivery of specific interventions to the inpatient population.
