Job Description

Finance Manager (head of finance)Brook Street is working with a exciting and innovative company based in Peterborough. They are looking for a enthusiastic finance manager to run a team of 8 finance employees and work alongside the MDSalary £45,000+Location Peterborough, office basedHours Monday - Friday 9-5.30Benefits 25 days holiday (rising to 30 after 1 year, +8 days bank holiday). Gym membershipMy client is looking for a fully qualified ACCA/CIMA hands on finance manager to lead, develop, support and mentor a team of 8 fantastic finance employeesWhether you are already a finance manager or ready to take the next step in your career this opportunity wont disappointThe Role

  • Provide leadership on the companys financial progression
  • Reviewing all sets of monthly accounts
  • Preparing and presenting monthly management packs to board members
  • Review and improve existing systems and processes
  • Day to day management of the finance team
  • Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage payroll process, auto-enrolment, P11D and payroll year end, ensuring HMRC compliance
  • Work with external accountants to ensure full accurate information is given for submission of annual accounts at Companies House and HMRC
  • Ensure statutory accounts are reviewed and filed at Companies House
To be successful in this role you will be commercially minded with a strong technical ability.
