Senior Thermit Track WelderLocation: Blantyre, Glasgow, GB, G72 0LH Compensation: £25,808 + 35% Roster + BenefitsFull Time / Permanent PositionSF42407Babcock International is looking to recruit a Senior Thermit Track Welder, being responsible for carrying out Track Renewals welding duties, in accordance with Group Standards and Line Specifications relevant to the Contract.Who we are looking forWe are looking for a welder who is fully flexible to travel anywhere around Scotland with occasional overnight stays as and when required. You will possess a good attitude and interpersonal skills, be a strong team player as well as hard working.What will you be doingThis opportunity is based at Stephenson House, Hamilton, working in a team of 2 with another Thermic Welding colleague you will be required to carry out Track Renewals welding and manual Arc welding duties throughout Scotland.Your duties will include:* Responsible for carrying out Thermit welds as required.* Inspection of Thermit Welds as required.* Carry out MMA weld repairs as directed.The experience youll bring * PTS, COSS, POS and SWL1 essential. PC desirable. Others as agreed with Welding Supervisor and as specified in the Core Competence Profile.* Successful completion of Track Welders course* Full UK Driving License required * Proven experience in Permanent Way work.What a role with Babcock offers
