Job Description

As Programme Manager, youll lead several Project Managers to deliver strategic Change. This could be either leading a large programmein its own right, with our parent company (Tech Mahindra) or managing a number of different projects as part of a Portfolio.Youll engage with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver controlled and efficient implementation of new client solutions and / or internal changes across Target to time, cost and quality objectives.You will be responsible for overseeing the development of several project management professionals and expected to contribute to the wider improvements in our service offering.Other day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Managing programme and bid work in line with Targets Project Management and Quality Management Frameworks within the SDLC, ensuring all defined controls are adhered to
  • Owning and leading programme reviews, ensuring lessons learnt and best practices are absorbed and integrated into business and project processes
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, which encourages a lean operation and develop a high-performance culture in which customer and client requirements are appropriately balanced.
  • Defining and implementing processes, documentation and tools to gather the internal or external clients requirement effectively to deliver projects smoothly.
  • Ensure that risks within the project are effectively managed, with appropriate ownership and controls in line with Targets risk management framework and that all regulatory requirements are met, ensuring that Target always remains fully compliant and aculture of Treating Customers Fairly is embedded throughout the team.
Who are we looking forYoure someone who has:
  • Project Management Qualification e.g. APM, Prince 2 or equivalent
  • Excellent commercial understanding and ability to impact assess changes across a portfolio
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure that projects and programmes are delivered in line with the defined requirements
  • The ability to challenge the status quo with the intention of improving internal processes and procedures, with a clear understanding of principles of continuous improvement
  • Experience of transitioning opportunities into delivery, including direct input into commercial negotiations
  • Strong project and programme management techniques and experience of working in Waterfall and Agile environments
  • The ability to project schedule, including managing resource requirements, using MS Project
  • Experience managing and delivering projects in line with cost, quality, resource and time constraints
  • Experience of leading, managing and developing project and programme managers and coaching & developing team members
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting against departmental performance and quality KPIs
