Utilising your key skills you will design solutions that not only deliveron our clients requirements but also drive forward Targets technical roadmap.You will be a subject matter expert who uses both your industry and product knowledge when analysing client requirements in order define solutions that utilise Targets existing proprietary applications and/or integrate with market leading third party applications/technologypartners.The role requires working closely with the various internal departmentsWhat will I be doingPeople

• Contribute to a high-performing culture and drive performance excellence within Buisness Solutions to improve process, efficiency, quality of client engagement and growth within existing client relationships
• Provide clear, professional consultancy internally and externally.
• Support and mentor other parts of the business such as Business Analysis, IT Support, imparting knowledge and experience to develop individuals.
• Support members of software engineering teams in breaking down complex problems and identifying steps towards solutions.

Customer & Client

• Liaise with clients and business representatives to understand the needs of the business.
• Provide client facing professional experience and capability, understanding Targets Core Propositions.
• Provide assurance to the customer that Targets capabilities match their expectations.
• Support the servicing/operation divisions to ensure that technology solutions can be adequately supported.
• Occasional travel to client sites providing consultancy and presenting existing or new solutions.
• Understand the impact changes has on our Clients and their portfolios

Financial

• An understanding of how Targets bid and commercial methodologies work.
• A broad commercial acumen, looking at cost vs return and driving efficiency through the solution.
• Working closely with Sales, Bid and Commercial teams, providing product and technical knowledge support to the bid process.
• Support the Solution Architect for all Bid opportunities you are allocated.
• Owning the process of engagement with all areas of the business and articulating the proposed solution design.
• Providing design estimates for new functional components.
• Acquiring sign-off of the proposed solution from all key stakeholders.

Process (Solution Design)

• Design high quality, scalable, secure and resilient solutions for Target and the requirements of its existing or future clients.
• Utilise effective design capability that can be articulated to clients and internal teams for the development of proposed solutions.
• Sit on the internal Design Authority Board (DAB) and review proposed designs to ensure compliance with the agreed terms of reference for Targets technical strategy.
• Play a key role in Targets modernisation by utilising your skills and knowledge of the IT industry to shape solutions.
• Communicate design decisions, plans, goals and strategies to project teams and senior leadership.
• Research, investigate, propose and introduce new technologies/third party applications to ensure Target remains relevant within the market.
• Utilise Product, Industry & System knowledge to support the Solution Architect by designing components of the High Level Solution.
• Articulate solution designs to software engineering teams to faciliatate low level design.
• Act as the technical design authority in project delivery, working with technical leads to ensure that the requirements of the solution are implemented in full
• Provide product, system and industry guidance to the project team.
• Support the Change project governance process
• Support the Design Solution Owner Group and Change SDLC

• Subject matter expert within Financial Servicing (Lending and/or Investments)
• Client facing experience
• Presentation experience
• Security by Design
• Experience of designing to standards and utilising industry patterns

• Cloud Deployment

  • Azure
• IBM Middleware e.g. IBM i
• API Integration e.g. Mulesoft
• Project Delivery Methodologies e.g. Waterfall, Agile
• Tooling e.g. JIRA & Confluence
• SQL Scripting or Programming
