The team works with colleagues in the First Line Service Desk, Networks and Infrastructure teams to investigate, improve and fix software applications. This includes initialinvestigation to determine the extent of a problem, identifying the impact and implementing/contributing to temporary and permanent solutions to issues.The team also liaises with colleagues in Software Development and Testing teams, and external IT Suppliers,and provides timely and meaningful communication to users on the status of their service requests and incidents.What will I be doingPeople

  • Complete Individual Performance Objectives according to agreed measures set by the Application Support Manager
  • Undertake 6 month performance reviews by the Application Support Manager
  • Responsible for own self development Customer & Client
  • Can perform stakeholder interviewing to understand current process and gather further information on the incident or problem
  • Liaise with internal teams or 3rd parties to investigate incidents and problems
  • Present minor changes to the Change Approval Board for authorisation prior to implementation
  • Post implementation support for changes to Targets live Business-as-usual software systems and business processes
  • Attain good levels of feedback from call resolution reviews
Financial
  • Investigate incidents and problems through to resolution
  • Work within defined service desk and client SLAs
  • Challenge and validate requests from internal and exteral clients
Process
  • Follow defined processes & procedures for incidents and problems
  • Follow defined service desk processing procedures
  • Analyse incidents and problems, documenting the findings and categorising the incident or problem correctly
  • Complete simple change controls for system configuration changes
  • Where applicable, test minor fixess and produce test evidence acceptable for peer review and business sign off

  • Interest in business processes, databases and SQL
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications OR
  • Extensive experience working in the Financial Services Industry
