Job Description

If you are up for a challenge and are willing to work hard, working with us will giveyou a fulfilling and varied career.As a Business Analyst, you lead the analysis effort on new software and servicing projects, owning and facilitating the requirements process and ensuring the overall solution meets business needs.You take an active role in leading or oversee the solution throughout the project lifecycle. The purpose of your role is to work closely with a range of internal and external clients and stakeholders and operate between business and technical departmentsto ensure that proposed solutions are valid, documented and meet the correct business functionality, requirements and industry standards.Your role requires high levels of motivation and organization, with the ability to plan, manage and priorities workloads.What Can You ExpectPeople

Customer
  • Providing guidance and support to project team members and working with internal stakeholders to ensure solution build continues to meet requirements
  • Leading on/participating in all client workshops to understand internal and external client project goals, configuration requirements, workflows, complex business needs, gaps and opportunities
  • Leading/participating in client presentations as required
Financial
  • Providing and validating cost estimates based on knowledge provided in the Solution Definition Document
  • Reviewing and monitoring Business Analyst estimates during the project lifecycle, escalating increases where necessary
Process
  • Assisting the Business Consultants and Project Manager in the construction of the scope and approach to the project
  • Leading on requirements elicitation process on projects - planning the strategy for investigating and translating functional and non-functional requirements, taking into account the complexities of the project and the constraints involved
  • Validating, baselining and prioritizing requirements through the approval and sign off by the client and accountable executive, challenging assumptions where necessary
  • Producing Use Cases and Process maps to ensure the overall solution meets business needs
  • Ensuring that there is clear requirements traceability through the lifecycle of the project
  • Managing the change process through the project lifecycle
  • Conducting defect and gap analysis
  • Identifying gaps in current products or solutions, and providing such input / feedback to the Product Management team to assist in the production and on-going maintenance of product roadmaps
  • Contributing to risk / issue logs, project status documents, scope change documents, mapping specification, test plans and test cases
  • Providing a handover of the project to Business Analysts working on Business As Usual change
  • Leading on/supporting initiatives for improvements, working with the Lead and / or Senior Business Analyst to establish, implement and continually improve processes

Youre someone who has:
  • Proven Business Analysis experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Experience of process mapping and Use case
  • Been educated to degree level with demonstrable experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified (desirable)
  • BCS Business Analysis (desirable)
  • The following experience would be desirable, but not essential for the role:
  • Financial Services Experience
  • Experience in project management principles, practices, techniques and tools
  • Experience of the mortgage / 2nd charge / unsecured lending markets
  • Experience of the Investments markets, on particular ISAs, Direct Deposit and Structured Investments
  • Varied experience of Project Methodologies - Waterfall & Agile.
