Role: Interim Financial AccountantLocation: Blackburn, BB1 2FA - Office BasedContract: Fixed Term Contract 12 MonthsSalary: £50,000+ (Circa) & Bonus SchemeAbout the role…Our Group Finance department have an exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join their ever-growing team!Reporting directly into the Head of Financial Reporting you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and monthly/quarterly reporting of the Group’s holding companies. You will also get the chance to develop and maintain strong and effective workingrelationships with both the Group finance team and divisional finance teams whilst also assisting with the production of the of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations and Group consolidation.The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, a keen attention to detail and ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities. The role is well suited to candidates with extensive experience within Group Finance or a candidate seekinga first move out of practice looking for further development in a technical accounting and reporting role within a dynamic environment.If you are looking for the next move in your career and are interested in working for a rapidly growing international business then this could be the perfect opportunity for you!Duties & Responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the day-to-day accounting and monthly/quarterly reporting of the Group’s holding companies.
• Management of the reconciliations of the groups external borrowings on a monthly basis and ensure that the debt is accounted for in line with IFRS 9.
• Management of the intercompany reconciliations across the group to ensure all balances are eliminated on consolidation.
• Assist with the production of the monthly Group consolidation.
• Production of Group balance sheet reconciliation on a monthly basis.
• Completion of tax packs for the tax team and support the external advisors.
• Ad-hoc financial reporting projects as and when required.
• Support the wider finance teams with relevant knowledge, transferable skills, information sharing, consistent good practice and joint commitment to the resolution of accounting issues.

• Qualified Accountant (desirable)
• Experience working in a Group Finance Function
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office packages
• Experience working for an International Business
• Trustworthy, honest and professional individual
• Self-starter with commercial awareness and aptitude for finance
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Problem Solving and Technical Ability
• Team Player
