Role: Corporate Tax ManagerLocation: Leeds, LS11 5AD - Flexible WorkingContract: Full-Time Hours / PermanentSalary: £55,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience) & Bonus SchemeCompany: Asda ExpressAbout the Role…We have a new opportunity available for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join us at Asda Express! Asda recently acquired a large proportion of our UK & Ireland estate which has led to the creation of a unique Corporate Tax Manager role that will beresponsible for tax compliance, advise, support and guidance for the Asda Express food & retail convenience business.Working in collaboration with Asda’s award-winning UK Tax Team, you will have the opportunity collaborate with and gain exposure across the whole food & retail environment helping to build an understanding of the changing tax legislation in order to impact,influence and inform decision making. You will have flexibility to broaden the scope of the role by creating and implementing strategies to improve processes, enhance systems, maximise compliance and minimise risk. You will also support in navigating the futureTax framework and structure for the newly acquired business.We are seeking a motivated self-starter who can bring a fresh perspective to the role and has extensive Corporate Tax knowledge & experience. This is the perfect opportunity for a Tax professional to join us as we merge with Asda and embark on a new andexciting journey to revolutionise the convenience market!Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation of corporation tax computations, tax disclosures for statutory accounts, quarterly forecasting.
• Manage correspondence and compliance with HMRC.
• Build and maintain relationships with key finance personnel across the business.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly/ quarterly/year end tax disclosures in IFRS.
• Working closely with the UK finance team to assist on the UK tax opportunities such as capital allowance reviews and RDEC claims.
• Working with external advisers on the production of UK corporate income tax computations including preparation of UK capital allowances analysis.
• Provide support with other corporate tax matters as required and ensuring ongoing compliance with corporate tax compliance obligations.

• Significant experience in successfully delivering tax compliance for a large, complex business.

• ACA and/or CTA qualified or part qualified.
• UK Tax technical knowledge.
• Advanced analytical, excel, systems and reporting skills.
• Highly proactive, self-motivated and results focused.
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to explain complex issues.
• Excellent relationship building skills paired with commercial awareness.
