Job Description

Circa. £38,000 + Bonus + Healthcare + BenefitsAt GAMA Healthcare we help prevent infections and save lives. Our product portfolio ranges from disinfectant wipes and hand gels (Clinell) to medical equipment (Rediroom). Coronavirus has led to infection prevention becoming a global priority and increased the demand for our innovative, reliable products across new industries and new countries. Microbiology drives the efficacy of our products, so were bolstering our Product Development team with a Senior Product Development Microbiologist. What will you do

Provide expert microbiology input to product development projects

Focus on pipeline drive and delivery at all project stage gates

Build great cross-functional relationships across the business

Support technical transfer projects with bioburden testing and environmental monitoring

Conduct other microbiology testing as required e.g. disinfectant suspension tests

Ensure that up-to-date and accurate scientific project records are maintained, as well as report writing and adhering to our Quality Management System

Liaise and collaborate with external partners and suppliers as required

Be involved in the day to day running of the micro lab, including mentoring and advising other members of the team

What will you need

Previous success in a commercial microbiology lab, ideally to support development of branded products

An understanding of operations/manufacturing environmental monitoring of production areas

Collaborative working style and a "can-do" attitude.

Knowledge and experience of working to relevant regulations and standards relating to microbiology testing and efficacy of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biocides or cosmetics

Prior experience of working in the disinfection field would be advantageous

BSc, or equivalent experience in microbiology

Experience of working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external

An appetite to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial organisation
