Please visit strive . co . uk for additional roles across engineering, production, warehouse & transport operations.Transport SupervisorUpto £27.5k + Excellent BenefitsGreater ManchesterOur client is a leading Distributor in bulk building supplies, and we are delighted to assist them in their search for a Transport professional as they look to recruit a Transport Supervisor at their site in Manchester, on a Monday to Friday basis.The successful candidate for this role must possess a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.Key Responsibilities for the Transport Supervisor:

  • Managing and booking of transport board for 6 Vehicles.
  • Liaising with customers via telephone and email and dealing with any queries in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Communicating with different depots and drivers.
  • Routing vehicles in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Liaising with customers and the internal team regarding deliveries and collections.
  • Completing administrative duties and any other reasonable requests made by management.
  • Supporting the compliance of company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with vehicle tracking and etas to customer sites.
  • General Administration Duties.
Ideal Candidate for the role of Transport Supervisor:
  • Previously worked in a fast-paced operations role such as transport planning, transport supervisor or shift manager.
  • Able to perform duties in a polite, efficient and professional manner.
  • Geographical knowledge of the North west.
  • Good verbal, numeric and written skills
  • Good IT skills including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Confident and resourceful when dealing with customers and their requests.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise and deliver work on time.
  • Able to work on own and as part of a team.
