Risk Assurance-CMAS-LondonAbout the teamCMAS is the place to do deals in Risk Assurance. Its a great place to work for those who are looking for an exciting new challenge in PwC and who enjoy working on varied and interesting client transactions.No two projects are alike within CMAS, but they offer the opportunity to work with interesting clients on iconic transactions and important client issues that are key to PwC.CMAS provides assurance around deals. We advise and support clients who are undertaking complex transactions and events, or are going through accounting change. The projects become the stories we often read about in the newspaper. CMAS are proud to be number one of the big 4 in the UK market.We work with our clients on IPOs; Mergers and Acquisitions; Divestment; Debt raising; Corporate Structuring; Accounting change and implementation of new accounting standards (a hot area for the firm with IFRS15 & 16 being implemented). Our clients are both audit clients and non-audit clients. We have both UK based clients and key international clients.About the roleYoull have the opportunity to work across all areas of CMAS, through the rotation scheme that we have in place for Senior Associates joining the business. This will give you 6 months experience in each area of specialism - Accounting Advice; Structuring and Capital Markets transactions (including US transactions). As your career progresses you may wish to develop your technical skills and credentials in one proposition more than others, so you are seen as an expert in the market.We are a supportive and cooperative team, and are committed to helping our people develop. We empower and trust our people to work independently but with coaching and guidance as needed. We are well connected with other teams within PwC and you will be encouraged to develop a network of relationships with clients and with key contacts within the firm.Youll work as part of a team on project-based roles and may also have the opportunity to travel.Essential skills and experience

  • ACA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Audit or advisory experience
  • Able to complete tasks to tight deadlines when necessary
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Technical accounting knowledge of IFRS
  • Good oral communication and written communication, including report-writing skills
  • Ability to convey complex information in an understandable format
  • Good project management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain business relationships
