Job Description

Youll help us identify and source the best instructors, develop learning and performance improvement solutions across traditional and virtual classroom environments, and consult with other areas of the Firm to ensure our curriculums and initiatives support the PwC strategy.About the RoleLearning and Development (L&D) is PwCs internal learning and development function. Our ambition is to be a world-class learning function, partnering with the business to deliver solutions which meet the needs of our people and help deliver the Firms strategic priorities.The L&D, Learning Design team, are responsible for designing training to meet business needs.The successful candidate will work with the wider Learning Design, Strategic Relationships and Learning Experience teams to deliver highly effective training content and learning design strategies using adult learning principles. They will be responsible for creating learning solutions that embed the 70:20:10 principle and align with the learning strategy.They will work on a variety of projects and initiatives related to non-technical learning content within PwC within the UK, this may include the design, development and review of face-to-face or technology enabled learning solutions.The key responsibilities of the role are to:Oversee all stages of the ADDIE learning cycle for a portfolio of non-technical programmes. This will involve effective design and evaluation of ongoing programmes or projects for new solutions.Work with the Strategic Relationship team to understand the requirements of the internal client, and work with them to define the kind of learning that would be the most appropriate using both digital or face to face modalities.Draft and agree scope, objectives, design proposals, detailed design plans, delivery and evaluation in conjunction with the wider Learning Design, Strategic Relationships and Learning Experience teams.Ensure the design meets the learning objectives and budget parameters and that there are appropriate evaluation interventions in place.Review content written by authors, and peers, to check the flow of the messages, whether all learning objectives have been met and whether there is an appropriate mix of delivery approaches adopted.Be client focussed at all times - understanding their needs and keeping them in mind when taking actions or making decisions.Work closely with assigned SMEs (subject matter experts) to define and prioritise learning objectives and to ensure that all final materials are reviewedTake a role in keeping abreast of latest external thinking and best practice and bringing this expertise to L&D.Have an awareness of Intellectual Property Rights (i.e. copyright) requirements applicable to their activitiesWho we are looking forThe following skills are required for this role:Detailed understanding and proven record of applying learning design and adult learning principlesPassionate about learning and development with an awareness of new thinking in the profession and with strong networksInnovative and creative in design thinking and when approaching new challengesExperience of designing high quality blended learning solutions that will bring business benefits to PwCPositive, can-do attitude with the ability to adapt and work effectively in a changing environmentStrong understanding of and a passion for eLearning and Learning Technologies and how they can be used to add value and transform the way we learnAwareness of digital development tools and LMS systemsStrong interest in quickly developing knowledge in latest learning and development methodologies and technologyExcellent project management, organisational skills & budgetary experience and able to work to deadlinesStrong analytical skills to effectively identify issues and be able to apply sound conclusions resulting in the right solution, at the right time and at the right costGoal orientated - maintains focus on agreed objectives and deliverablesCommercially orientated - keeps commercial aspects continually in mind when taking actions or making decisionsProven ability to self-motivate and work independently as well as a track record of working professionally and collaboratively as part of a wider-teamAbility to build and maintain good relationshipsCommunicate confidently and effectively, at all levels, both in written and verbal formHighly energised and motivated to effect change and influence the firms approach to people developmentNot the role for you Did you know PwC offer flexible contract arrangements as well as contingent work (ie temporary or day rate contracting) The skills we look for in future employees All our people need to demonstrate the skills and behaviours that support us in delivering our business strategy.
