In addition to providing disaster and emergency response, we also promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities - regardless of race, religion or gender.Islamic Relief is a member of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) and an implementing partner for DFID, ECHO, the World Food Programme (WFP) and UNHCR.PURPOSE OF DIVISION (IRUK)Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) that is part of Islamic Relief Worldwide. IRUKs focus is strengthening effective funding, mobilising for change through advocacy and awareness-raising, and strengthening programme development and delivery. IRUK works with various partners and institutions, from governments, non-governmental organisations and local authorities to grassroots communities.PURPOSE OF DEPARTMENT (COMMUNICATIONS & CREATIVE CONTENT):The role of the Communications & Creative Content Department is to provide strategic and operational leadership to Islamic Relief UK in the areas of media, advocacy, internal comms and creative content. There is a focus on all internal and external communications and reputation management. The Department also works in partnership with other Islamic Relief departments to provide creative content and communications expertise ensuring that high quality information, material and resources are delivered and sustained to support and promote our work on fundraising, advocacy, and programmes. JOB PURPOSE:• To be responsible for delivering high quality, innovative and expressive multimedia content specifically for communications channels (the media, social media, website and digital media outlets) that reflect IRUKs work on a national and international level. • To support the media team in gaining digital media coverage for IRUKs work and activities by delivering impactful content packages for digital media, including the production of Video News Releases (VNRs).• To deliver innovative content, using in-house extensive video production and editing skills to create engaging channel specific assets.• To provide insight into content consumption behaviour and analyse trends that emerge.KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS• Working closely with the Content Production Manager and the Multimedia Content Producer• Working closely with the Digital Engagement team and the Media team• Work in collaboration with the Advocacy & Campaigns team, the Fundraising department, the Marketing department and Volunteering teamSCOPE AND AUTHORITYScope of the Role:• Reporting to the Content Production Manager, the Multimedia Content Producer takes responsibility for developing channel specific content for IRUKs key communications channels, which adheres to brand guidelines, ranging from audio-video editing, production, and photography. • Responding to creative briefs from the Content Production Manager based on requests from other departments.• Lending specialised skills and expertise to support the division in fulfilling strategic and operational objectives• Work closely with the Content Production Manager and Copywriter & Editor to ensure consistency in messaging and tone of voice.• They will be expected to travel to the field and any other place deemed necessary by the organisation ensuring that they work within the guidelines set by the country director and project managers.Responsibility for Resources:The post holder will be responsible for the care, safekeeping, management and maintenance of multimedia equipment.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESThe job holder is accountable for fulfilling his or her roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of his/her colleagues and staff. The following are the main responsibilities that the role holder will be accountable for: 1. Multimedia content development, gathering and delivery• To create multimedia content, concepts and storyboards based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.• Work with the Content Production Manager to scope, plan, commission and manage content-gathering projects overseas or in the UK, in consultation with internal stakeholders.• Work with the Content Production Manager and Multimedia Content Producer to develop and maintain photographer and videographer rosters, briefs, contracts, consent forms and other documentation and standards.• Work with Islamic Relief Worldwide and partners to identify opportunities to gather content without duplicating efforts.• Lead the design process of visual material/products up to completion and delivery. • Keep an accurate and up-to-date record of all materials and store it effectively within a systematic digital content library with easy access for departmental and organisational use.• Photography, film, direct and edit small shoots both in the UK and overseas.• Log all raw video footage and photographs onto a digital content system.• Edit footage to a high standard, ensuring clear, descriptive videos that are visually appealing, informative and help to generate customer engagement.• Edit photos and produce photo galleries for internal and external comms channels• Plan shoots, capture high-quality footage that can be used to document IRUK activities nationwide (fundraising, events, volunteering).2. Contribute to the development of IRUKs media, social media and digital media activities• Conceptualise, write and direct engaging stories for media, social media and digital media videos.• Assist in implementing media, social media and website content plans that ensure our onli
