The successful candidate will have a strong desire to work collaboratively and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our PSHE department and, ultimately,in enhancing the well-being and development of our students.Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Leadership: Develop, implement, and lead the PSHE curriculum, ensuring it aligns with educational standards and the evolving needs of our students.
  • Teacher Development: Provide guidance and support to PSHE teachers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Student Engagement: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active student participation and promotes their personal, social, and health development.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and community stakeholders to strengthen the impact of PSHE education beyond the classroom.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the PSHE curriculum, making data-informed decisions to enhance student outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on best practices in PSHE education and facilitate opportunities for staff to engage in continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching and curriculum development, preferably in PSHE or related fields.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A passion for promoting students personal, social, and health development.
  • Commitment to collaboration and contributing to the departments growth and student progress.
