Job Description

Group Finance Manager | Central Manchester | Professional Services | £60,000-£69,000 + bonusJob Overview:Axon Moore are proudly working on behalf of a global, PE backed and highly successful professional services firm who are looking to add a high calibre individual to their already best-in-class finance function. This is a highly visible role across the Group, with exposure across the business and is an ideal route for someone with a strong technical background looking to further progress their career in a private equity setting. I am particularly interested in speaking to those who are ACA/ ACCA Qualified, coming from a background in practice, and has gained industry experience in a similar Financial/ Group Accountant setting.The organisation is renown for career development, with countless examples of those who have joined this meritocratic environment, and excelled ahead of their peer group.Salary: £60,000-£69,000Location: Central Manchester (3 days in the office)Main Duties:

  • Responsible for the monthly Group consolidation pack, including PE reporting.
  • Monthly board pack reporting and commentary.
  • Key contact for Group and local entity audits, liaising with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Preparation of technical accounting work papers.
  • Preparation of year-end statutory accounts pack under UK Accounting standards, FRS 102
  • Oversee VAT and Withholding Tax submissions globally, whilst working with external advisors.
  • Responsible for Corporation tax submissions globally, including forecasting and ensuring compliance.
  • Preparation of month-end journals for holding companies and ensuring integrity of financial reports.
  • Ownership of Group balance sheet and cashflow reconciliations including reviews and analysis at month-end.
  • Ensure financial controls and processes are in place to ensure integrity of financial reports.
  • Manage one report, ensuring their continued high performance and 10 indirect reports from the management accounts team.
  • Ownership of the Groups share capital, ensuring changes are reflected timely within the accounting package.
  • Investor relations.
Person Specification:
  • ACA or ACCA Qualified.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK accounting standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communicator.
  • Ability to prioritise work in a fast paced and changing PE environment.
  • Experience working in an environment with tight deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skill set.
