JustPhysio are recruiting for a band 6 Inpatient Physiotherapist to work with our lovely client based in Central London Band 6 Inpatient Physiotherapist 12 month FTC Salary £39,323 - £48,053 Full time - 37.5 hours per week Start ASAP Our client in CentralLondon is looking for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join their team Our client is one of Englands largest private hospital and is based in a great location . Job Summary: To work within the CSP guidelines for good service and practice and to provide a comprehensivePhysiotherapy service whilst rotating through the inpatient services. To work flexibly across specialities to cover leave and increase demand including orthopaedics, surgery, intensive care, neurosurgery, Aquatic Therapy, pre-admission and oncology PrincipalAreas of Responsibility Professional/ Clinical: To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspect of own work, including the management of patients in your care as an autonomous practitioner. To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patientsincluding those with diverse or complex presentations/multi pathologies; use advanced clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition. Formulate and deliver an individual physiotherapy treatmentprogramme based on a sound knowledge of treatment skills. Formulate accurate prognoses and recommend best course of intervention, developing comprehensive discharge plans. Assess patient understanding of treatment proposals, gain valid informed consent andhave the capacity to work within a legal framework with patients who lack the capacity to consent to treatment. To keep accurate, legible records of patient care in line with service guidelines Work effectively with those patients whose first language isnot English and take into consideration diversity issues in particular differing cultural awareness. Use a range of verbal and non-verbal communication tools to communicate effectively with patients to progress rehabilitation and treatment programmes Evaluatepatient progress, reassess and alter treatment programmes if required. Manage clinical risk within own patient caseload. To work within the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and clients guidelines. To assist in the management and development of the serviceby setting objectives in-line with the business objectives. To participate in the rota for chairing and writing minutes for the department. To communicate and liaise with other members of the health care team with regards to patients treatment planningand progress and to promote interaction between the multidisciplinary team. To correctly charge patients for all treatments and equipment given. To attend case conferences, clinical reviews as appropriate and to produce physiotherapy reports as required.To work closely with the Consultants and the nursing team in the effective and appropriate discharge of patients. To understand own limitations and consult, when necessary, appropriate senior physiotherapy staff within the clinical area. To promote openand friendly communication throughout the clinic and specifically the Physiotherapy department. To supervise, teach and appraise students as required. To deliver and develop the pre-admission clinic. To participate in aquatic therapy To work flexibly withearly and late shifts and weekend working. To participate in the emergency working rota. To participate on the weekday/weekend on-call rota for the client. When working on the emergency duty on-call rota, provide advice to medical and nursing staff andother members of the multi-disciplinary team regarding patients respiratory and chest functions/conditions. Management: To work flexibly across specialities and adapt to the caseload and staffing requirements. Plan the effective daily management of a caseloadof patients including responding to urgent referrals and occasionally unpredictable work patterns. To be able to prioritise clinical work and balance other patient related and professional activities in accordance with the departmental requirements. Representthe physiotherapy service and / or individual patients at the multi-disciplinary service, and integrate physiotherapy treatment into the treatment programme. This will include discussion of patient progress and involvement in discharge planning. To be responsiblefor the safe and competent use of all equipment, aids and appliances used by patients.
