Assistant Merchandiser

Our client based in Bolton is looking to recruit an Assistant Merchandiser on a permanent basis...

Assist in preparation & present sales reports for weekly Trading meetings. Suggest actions (i.e. preparing restocks) to meet future business needs e.g. planned vs. actual sales figures
Confirming delivery of stock and updating WSSI accordingly on a weekly basis
Monitoring best and worst sellers list & weeks coverreporting back to the Senior Merchandiser and suggesting actions
Investigate size ratios of product bought vs. product sold to improve the efficiency of future orders
Identify & suggest re-buys of best-selling styles balanced with suggesting sales promotions on any overstocked or slow-selling product.
Review any mark downs or sales promotions
Assist on forecasting planned sales by product category
Awareness of all factory shipment dates, flag any delays to Merch/production team
Liaising with production team to ensure critical paths are on track
Have an analytical and logical mindset to arrange clear plans/reports
Prioritise various projects with attention to detail
New launches/promotions. Supporting the business to meet planned launch dates and advising on control and movement of stock
Monitor sales by region both Internationally and within UK
Prepare any competitor or retail reports, when requested
Help with future Black Friday strategy
Assist the inbound warehouse team, when required

Requirements:

Relevant experience required
Excellent communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Experience working with ecommerce/ retail or apparel brands in a similar assistant merchandising role.
Demonstrate a pro-active approach toproblem solving.
Flexible and open to evolving business needs andpriorities.
Strong commercial awareness with an ability to identify risk and confidently provide solutions.
Hands on approach.
