Job Description

Sheet Metal Worker

  • Permanent position - Immediate start available
  • Salary to £30,420 pa & Overtime at time & a half (to £15.00 p/hr, Overtime at £22.50 p/hr)
  • Good hours available - Mid-day finish on a Friday
  • Location in the Sandy - Cambourne - St. Neots area
  • Own transport required due to location
Established leader in processing equipment and solutions for the food processing / manufacturing industry requires a skilled Sheet Metal Worker and Fabrication Engineer who can work to high quality standards, promptly ensuring production schedules are met.General Objectives and Responsibilities:
  • Experience in programming / setting / operating an Amada HFE Brakepress or any other CNC Brakepress.
  • Experience in CNC Punch Press would be an advantage.
  • Experience in manual Brakepress machinery
  • Experience in using a guillotine would be an advantage.
  • Candidates need to be able to read and have a good understanding of engineering drawings
  • Be proficient with the use of various hand tools and mechanical equipment for sheet metal.
  • An interest in programming / operating a laser, Full training to be provided.
  • To carry out a policy of quality workmanship when working in the factory / on-site.
  • To maintain good timekeeping.
Rate Guide:
  • To £30,420 pa (to £15.00 p/hr), & Overtime at time & a half. - Good hours available

Hours:Working a 39 per week, Mid-day finish on a Friday.
  • Monday 7.30 am - 4.00 pm
  • Tuesday 7.30 am - 4.30 pm
  • Wednesday/Thursday 7.30 am - 5.00 pm
  • Friday 7.30 am - 12.00 noon
