Job Description

General BuilderWorking for yourself and had enough of trying to get the jobs, do the work and manage all the accounts yourself Our client near Sandy and St Neots is looking to employ an experienced General Builder on a permanent basis with an immediate start available.The role is to undertake various tasks ranging from minor repairs and restoration to new building projects and maintenance works. Thework will involve working within both Domestic and Industrial premises. You must be able to work within a team and be awareof all aspects including Health & Safety, Production, Inspection and Discipline.Job Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of general building machinery, mini-digger, dumper etc.
  • A strong skillset in all of the following:-
  • Drainage & General Building Work
  • Plastering
  • Tiling
  • Bricklaying
  • Roofing
  • Groundworks
  • Concreting
Person Specification
  • At least 10 years experience within the building industry.
  • Proven qualifications and certification an advantage but not essential
  • Flexible, reliable, polite with good housekeeping to ensure that the site is kept safe/clean.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful
  • Capable to plan and manage own diary when working alone, working to programmes, deadlines and schedules with good timekeeping.
Hours of Work and Pay
  • Basic 39 Hours per week - 7.30 to 4, 4:30 and 5pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 12pm finish
  • Overtime paid at time and a half
  • Up to £17per Hour DOE
