Job Description

Factory CleanerSalary: £25,350 with Overtime paid at £18.75 per hourWorking hours are 39 hours per week - Immediate StartPermanent Full-time position Location: Great Gransden - Own transport required due to location (No Public Transport available)We are seeking a Factory Cleaner / Industrial Cleaner to work in an engineering company, cleaning the factory and office areas. The Factory Cleaner will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that the site is kept clean and tidyat all times.Duties will also include full deep cleaning of industrial cooking equipment, which happens after live client demonstrations and these occur approximately once or twice per month.Cleaning Duties:

  • Sanitising surfaces.
  • Emptying domestic rubbish bins.
  • Cleaning staircases and handrails.
  • Regularly clean and disinfect restrooms.
  • Hoovering carpeted areas.
  • Clean and dust furniture, ledges, light fixtures, and other hard-to-reach places.
  • Sweep, mop, and polish factory floors.
  • Cleaning engineering machines.
  • Assist with other duties as required by the Engineering Manager.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Own transport is recommended due to the location of the factory.
This is based in Great Gransden, so having your own transport is recommended as this is a rural location with no public transport.Commutable from: Cambourne, Royston, Sandy, St. Neots, Huntingdon, Cambridge. Hours:
  • Full Time: 39 hours per week - No weekends
  • Monday: 7.30 am - 4.00 pm
  • Tuesday: 7.30 am - 4.30 pm
  • Wednesday/Thursday: 7.30 am - 5.00 pm
  • Friday: 7.30 am - 12.00 noon
