As a Technical Applications Scientist you will be working as part of the technical support team and be the first line of response for NSG customers, providing technical advice and troubleshooting assistance. You will have a focus on experimental design andsequencing library preparation and will be pivotal in ensuring that their customers receive world class technical support. Extensive training, competitive salaries and excellent career development opportunities are on offer.Responsibilities:* Deliver expert guidance on all products to new and existing customers, independently researching, and providing solutions.* Professionally triage phone and email requests from external and internal customers.* Develop an advanced knowledge of the sequency library preparation portfolio.* Ensure excellent customer response time, resolution time, departmental efficiency and other key performance metrics are met or exceeded.* Create and edit technical documentation to educate customers.* Collaborate with a dynamic team of support scientists, finding optimal solutions to technical challenges.The Ideal candidate will have:* BSc with two or more years of lab experience, MS., or PhD in genetics, molecular biology of relevant field.* Experience of molecular biology protocols required (PCR, DNA/RNA quantification techniques). Sequencing experience desired but not essential.* Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills* Training or teaching experience* Ability to work as part of team* Customer support experience highly desirable* Willing to travel* Language skills advantageous but not essentialFor an informal chat regarding this role please email .
