Prestige Appointments are pleased to be working with a global household name in the life sciences industry for over a century who are looking for support staff for their Laboratory in Cambridge.They have immediate starts available and you do not need any previous experience in a laboratory or a degree in the industry as full training is provided. Do you have an interest in science and want to kick off your career with a leadingcompany in the sector Maybe you are working in hospitality or retail and looking for a career change and no more late nights or weekends This may be the opportunity for you.We are recruiting for several positions due to growth in the operation.Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Regularly checking expiry dates of chemicals and arranging disposal of any out-of-date material via the correct waste disposal route
Maintain and organise laboratory consumable stock
Laboratory housekeeping, monitoring and keeping communal areas clean and tidy by effective waste management
Regularly collect used glassware from other laboratories, using industrial equipment to sterilise and clean them for re-use the scientists to use within the laboratories
Cleaning & documentation of several laboratory instruments

Experience Required

GCSE Maths & English and an Interest in Science
Full training will be given, previous experience in a laboratory or pharmaceutical/food manufacturing environment desirable but no essential
Ability to understand and follow Health & Safety instructions.
Computer Literate
Full UK right to work without restriction, we cannot currently support with sponsorship
Able to commute to CB216GP without issue (drivers preferred due to location)
