Head of Science & Claims I am collaborating with a multinational company that operates in the Hair Care Industry. They are leading the way in understanding the science of hair, and their product portfolio includes electronic goods and formulated products. We are now looking for a Head of Science to join the team, this position will involve working with the R&D and Claims Teams to develop, support and evaluate a range of technically leading hair care products. The role will involve the management of the HairScience and Claims team in the set-up, analysis, and interpretation of test results. Also lead the scientific claims feasibility and substantiation testing of products to meet Marketing and Legal requirements.The Role: Generate understanding and building knowledge of hair science, providing insight and input to innovative new product development. Co-develop product claims with the marketing team, based on hair science understanding to build the product value proposition. To support Marketing and Legal teams in the risk assessment of new product claims. To ensure substantiation of product performance supported by scientific claims. To line manage and support the Hair Science and Claims team in the setup, analysis and interpretation of test results and coaching in correct experimental methods and practices. Support the transfer of hair science methodologies to repeatable engineering design and production process methods. Deliver published scientific papers from the ongoing quantitative and qualitative research into hair and organic materials. Lead the scientific claims feasibility and substantiation testing of products to meet Marketing and Legal requirements.We are interested in speaking to individuals who have experience or knowledge in Hair Care, new product development, claim substantiation or innovation of hair care products.
