Work from home.Software Engineer - Key Skills:We are keen to speak to experienced software engineers, software developers, analyst programmers, software bioinformaticians and software development managers.To be successful within this role, you will:- Have strong proficiency in programming languages used for data analysis and visualisation, e.g. Python, R, SQL or Java.- Have knowledge or experience of Bioinformatics concepts and tools.- Have experience programming, organising and analysing large volumes of biological data.- Have experience with libraries and technologies that enable large-scale data processing.- Have experience collaborating with data scientists, bioinformaticians, or researchers.- Hold an MSc or PhD- Know about cloud services, e.g. AWS, Google or Azure- Have some knowledge of predictive models and machine learning methods.- Have excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).All applicants must reside in the UK and have the right to work.About the Software Engineer role:Become an expert in this innovative domain, and identify emerging and novel computational techniques to address the various challenges that will face you.The software you develop will range from research prototypes with academic and industry collaborators.Responsibilities include:- Designing and implementing software solutions.- Finding or creating innovative software-based solutions for complex data analysis and machine learning problems.- Proposing solutions to integrate heterogeneous data sources efficiently.- Collaborating with data scientists, bioinformaticians, project managers and other engineers to achieve elegant solutions.- Executing full lifecycle, full-stack software development.Salary and Benefits:Salary One: £70-79,000Salary Two: £80-88,000100% Remote Working: Yes.
