Job Description

Materials Management Coordinator CambridgeScope:This is an opportunity for you to join a business who offers a wonderful chance for development and career progression. They now have an exciting opportunity at a respected pharmaceutical customer for a Materials Management Coordinator.Responsibilities:This job is ideal for someone with a scientific sample dispatch, stores, or logistics background.As part of the role you will receive, pack, prepare and ship R&D samples (biological, chemical, radioactive etc.) to any destination globally ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations (air/road/sea) through the completion of technical logistics activities in a highly regulated function. The Materials management duties include:

  • Receive, pack, prepare and ship R&D samples globally ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations (air/road/sea).
  • Dispatch goods ensuring all relevant documentation is correct and meets GLP, GxP and Health and Safety standards.
  • Resolve or escalate complex queries from the customer
  • Participate in the preparation for regulatory inspections as needed.
  • Ensure that materials with special handling, storage or distribution requirements (such as hazardous shipments and temperature sensitive material) are properly monitored.
  • Archiving of documentation
  • About You:Proof of multiple years of work experience in a Materials Management environment preferable
  • Full, clean driving license essential
  • Experience working to IATA/ADR/IMDG is preferable
  • Excellent customer service focus and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Outstanding communication skills on all levels and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
