Job Description

Assistant Psychologist Location: Wisbech, CambridgeshireSalary: £12.76 per hourHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to FridayThe Willows are looking to appoint an Assistant Psychologist with a professional qualification on a full-time basis of 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will have a desire to support our service users during a period of rehabilitation and haveexperience of working with people with mental health problems or disabilities. The role:
  • Support patients toward recovery, through contribution to assessment and evidence based intervention.
  • Work closely with other professions including Psychiatry, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Support Workers
  • Work with innovation and independence, while closely supported and supervised by a Clinical Psychologist
  • Support the Clinical Psychologist in their day-to-day tasks. Duties will range from helping them to deliver clinical servicessuch as psychological assessments and interventions - to
  • governance, data collection and analysis, administrative activities, and assisting with aspects of report writing and project development.
This is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. The post holder may be required to undertake other duties following appropriate discussion with their line manager.Requirements:
  • A good level degree in Psychology (BA or BSc)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for learning and working as part of a multidisciplinary rehabilitation mental health team
  • Experience within the healthcare sector
Desired qualities:
  • Eligibility for British Psychological Society Graduate Membership
  • Experience of working with people with Personality disorder
  • Previous experience in a paid/voluntary Assistant Psychologist role
