Job Description

Summary Do you love to bringing stories to life Do you enjoy realising opportunities and solving problems Do you value working with people and wider communities, through developing fruitful long-term relationships Were looking for a Senior Programming & PartnershipsOfficer to join our team.This role will be based across the Surrey Landscapes portfolio, so travel to the three main hub sites will be required.This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave on the 3rd August 2024. Interviews for this role will be held on Wednesday 3rd of May at Winkworth Arboretum. What its like to work here Working in the dynamic and varied Surrey Landscapes portfolio, youll lead on planning a calendar of inspiring events and experiences tocompliment the special places of Winkworth Arboretum, Claremont Landscape Garden and Runnymede, the home of the Magna Carta. The Surrey Landscapes portfolio is perfect for visiting any time of the year as the landscapes change with the seasons. The locations provide an impressive variety of backdrops to a host of activities from family woodland walks at Winkworth Arboretum, photographicand artistic inspiration throughout the portfolio, special childrens events such as half term trails or the Magna Carta Festival at Runnymede, Heritage Open Days at Claremont Landscape Garden for preserving and maintaining the special history and naturalhabitat. What youll be doing Working collaboratively across teams, you will lead on planning a calendar of inspiring events and experiences to compliment the portfolio. Your expertise will feed into our business plan. Youll lead from the front and championour values, ensuring everyone feels welcomed and valued. Working collaboratively, youll design and deliver year-round events such as Easter adventures in nature, Blossom and Autumn colours. Working in partnership with volunteers and colleagues, you will communicate our cause in everything you do. You will also playa role in marketing and communications plans for portfolio, bringing new and diverse audiences to our places, through carefully curated communications and programming. Youll join a great team and take part in duty management including weekends and support the visitor operation and setting our strategic direction. Youll work with property teams on delivering targeted community engagement and involvement, working with people to explore ideas to bring a historic landscape to life, maintaining existing relationships and building new relationships with local and wider communities. Youll be required to work flexibly to develop relationships with staff, volunteers and collaborators that are required for the success of the day to day.
