Research Manager - AsiaThe post holder will be responsible for the on-going technical credibility and development of Compassion’s programme and resources for Thailand. This includes support of the Thailand Food Business Manager with preparation for and in meetings, knowledge transfer to food companies, and wider stakeholder groups in Thailand.Working under the direction of the Head of Food Business China, you will play a central role in further implementing and developing our influence on animal welfare in Thailand as well as strengthening and enhancing our technical service offer.Research Manager Requirements:The right candidate will bring both scientific rigour and excellent practical knowledge of farm animal welfare in food production to the role, along with passion and belief in improving animal welfare in Thailand. You will have a strong commercial awareness and develop a solid understanding of the Thai food industry whilst maintaining a sympathetic understanding of the wider organisational aims. The role will require developing and delivering multiple workflows to deadline and within budget, and a strong problem solving can do’ attitude.This is a vital role within Compassion’s Food Business Programme, helping to ensure farm animal welfare is adopted within the sustainable supply chain and corporate policies of the world’s leading food businesses as well as Thailand’s national companies.
