There is no upper age limit for applications, but it is essential that you are have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.Maureen is 89 years old; she has lived in on her own since her husband died 10 years ago and has always been independent. Last year, Maureen had a fall whilst out shopping and it knocked her confidence somewhat. She stopped going out and even became scared of the stairs in her own house and would often sleep on the sofa rather than go to bed. She also wouldn’t leave her house, not even into the garden in case she had another fall. Maureen is typical of someone you would support. You would help her with daily routines that have become harder for her but also help to keep her independent and doing the things she has always done. You will possibly be helping with washing, bathing, toileting, dressing, and other elements of personal care during some of the visits, helping her with her morning, lunchtime, or evening routines, getting her a bit of shopping, light housework, helping to prepare meals, and reminding her to take her medication. She also loves to get out in the garden and in the warmer months loves nothing more than a slice of cake, a brew and a natter in her lovely garden. It’s her pride and joy. Come and join the best! Working for an award-winning provider of domiciliary care, we have won multiple awards over the years! We are bespoke - different to any other care organisation in the area, providing care visits to a purely private client base, but the focus being on companionship, providing a minimum of 1-hour home visits and you will always see the same clients. The owner started the service to do something more rewarding and make a difference in her local community. Benefits & Hours
