Job Description

IT Security Technical Engineer - IT Security Support Analyst - IT Security Technical Support - IT Security Operations Analyst - IT Security Technical Engineer - Information Security Technical Support - Information Security Operations Analyst - Information Security Technical Engineer based in Godalming, Surrey paying up to £35,000 per annum.I am seeking a IT Security Engineer or an IT Support Engineer from a Managed Service / IT Service Provider background who is seeking to focus on building a career in IT Security. You need to show a strong passion for IT security and the have the following key experience and skills required:

  • Holding a Professional IT qualification such as MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA etc.
  • Good IT and networking experience covering; Operating Systems Windows and /or Linux), Directory services, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), SMTP etc.
  • Experience using security tools and services, e.g. vulnerability scanners (Nessus / Tenable), SIEM Tools, Firewalls/IDS, Wireshark, VT, Endpoint Protection etc.
  • Able to trouble and prepare for and resolve It Security issues such as network attacking; phishing, port scanning, web application attacks, DDoS, lateral movement etc.
  • An understanding of Public / Private Cloud Services (Azure/AWS/O365 etc) and how provide IT Security to cover these platforms.
    • If you are an IT Security professional who happy to undertake Security Clearance andwishes to join a leading IT Security operations team then this role could be for you. This permanent role will be working normal business hours Monday to Friday and would especially suit someone from a Security Operations Centre background who has worked for an IT Solutions provider or in a Managed Services environment.You must be a good team player but able to manage individual security projects and issues. This demanding and varied role is based in Godalming, Surrey and pays a starting salary of between £25,000 and £35,000 per annum depending on experience and comes with great prospects.
