Job Description

Robert Half have recently partnered exclusively with a fantastic consultancy business, to help them with their search for a new Graduate Assistant Accountant. If you are a recent graduate who has a desire to pursue their career in finance and accountancy,then this could be the opportunity youve been looking for!This is a fantastic opportunity for any graduate who is keen to begin their career in finance and accountancy. In this position you and reporting directly to the Finance Manager on a daily basis, and you will be gaining a great amount of exposure to alllevels of transactional accounting as well as assisting with management accounts. This role will be initially office based at the companies main offices near Godalming.The RoleIn this Graduate Assistant Accountant role you will be responsible for (But not limited to):

  • Cash-flow reporting.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Inter-company reconciliations.
  • VAT Returns (UK and Ireland).
  • Balance sheet reconciliations (i.e. Fixed Asset Register, Accruals, Prepayments).
  • Posting of month end journals (i.e. Payroll, Depreciation).
  • Analysis of cost centre codes as requested.
  • Preparation of information for auditors and EU accountants.
  • Assisting with financial documents and preparation of EU subsidiary accounts.
  • Provide support to Finance Manager & Directors.
The ideal candidate will be a bright and ambitious graduate who has an interest in pursuing their career in finance and accounting, whilst continuing with their accountancy studies (ACCA/CIMA).
