Job Description

Are you an experienced Buyer / Senior Buyer Have you worked in manufacturing Do you have or are you studying towards your CIPS qualificationWorking as part of a small team, youll join this highly respected manufacturer as their new Consumables Buyer.Please dont apply if youre not comfortable working onsite daily. You should be easily commutable to Glossop.What You Get

About You
  • Its essential that you have at least 5 years experience as a sole Buyer.
  • Youll be from manufacturing - the corporate world is not your bag.
  • You should be a strong negotiator and confident liaising with suppliers regularly by telephone.
  • An MCIPS qualification is essential or at the very least studying towards.
  • You need to be tech savvy and ideally have used SAP or a similar ERP system.
  • You will be resiliant and able to make your mark, at the same time being a team player.
  • You must be able to commit to working onsite Monday to Friday.
About The Job
  • Youll join as a Senior Buyer, managing the purchase of consumables for the site.
  • The role will involve contract management, supplier accreditiation and vendor approvals.
  • Youll source new products and new suppliers, ensuring best price, quality and cost at all times.
  • It will be your responsibility to lead supplier audits.
  • Over time, youll be able to implement new processes.
